What we collect
No form inputs are sent to analytics when you use the ZIP lookup, the quiz or any of the ten calculators. Those run entirely in your browser against static files. What you type is not sent to us, and we could not see it if we wanted to.
What you type into the quote form, if you submit it: name, phone, email, ZIP, optionally the address and a note, plus the answers you gave the tools in that session if you used them. We also record the date and time, your IP address, your browser user agent, the page you submitted from, and the exact version of the consent wording you agreed to. That last set exists so that we can prove what you consented to — it protects you as much as us.
Your email address and ZIP if you sign up for hail alerts.
What you submit as community content: the structured fields, and the photo if you upload one. We strip location metadata from photographs on upload. We do not ask for your name.
What we do with it
- Quote form submissions go to the contractor networks named on the partners page, so that they can contact you. That is the whole point of the form and it is what the consent box covers.
- Alert emails go to you and nowhere else. We do not sell, rent or share the alert list.
- Community content is moderated and published anonymously.
Cookies and tracking
Optional Google Analytics is used only with consent, as explained below. No advertising cookies are enabled by this analytics implementation. The site uses
sessionStorage to carry your answers between our own tools within a single tab; it is
cleared when you close the tab and it never leaves your device. If TrustedForm certification is
enabled on the quote form, that script records your interaction with the form itself so that consent
can be independently verified — it runs only on the quote form, and only if you got that far.
How long we keep it
Lead and consent records: as long as required to evidence consent and handle any dispute, and no longer. Alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Community content: until you ask us to remove it. Suppression records after a deletion request: indefinitely, because that is what makes the suppression work.
Your choices
Withdraw consent, unsubscribe, request a copy or ask for deletion at this page, or email hello@rooftake.com. We act immediately and in any event within ten business days.
Children
This site is for homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Website operator and privacy contact
The controller is BEXPANDER, s.r.o., company ID 06409202, Ruská 705/70, 101 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic. Contact: eshop@hafio.cz.
Optional audience measurement
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and sessions. Analytics is not loaded before consent. You may refuse without losing access to the site and withdraw using “Privacy settings”. We send a generic RoofTake page name and the site's home address, not article addresses, search terms, form entries or ZIP searches, roof details or insurance inputs. Google processes device/browser information and pseudonymous cookie identifiers; reports can include approximate geography. In Google Analytics, Google signals, advertising personalization and automatic enhanced measurement are disabled. User and event data retention is set to two months; standard aggregated reports are not covered by that limit. Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) expire after 180 days without extension by this configuration.
Service providers and your rights
Google provides our consent dialog and optional analytics. Processing may involve countries outside the EEA under Google's applicable transfer safeguards. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, object to relevant processing, and withdraw consent without affecting previous lawful processing. You may complain to the Czech supervisory authority, ÚOOÚ.
Changes
If we change this policy we change the date at the top and, where the change affects what you consented to, we change the consent version so that old consents are not silently reinterpreted.
